WHEN
Mununga Tea Factory was built and commissioned in 1993.
WHERE
The factory is located 10 kilometers from Kerugoya Town, Kirinyaga County, North of Nairobi. The factory is situated 13 km off the Nairobi – Nyeri Highway. Feeder roads for the factory are the Karatina – Kerugoya Road.

Special Projects
Mununga Tea Factory has the following projects running; Water piping and access for the community in the catchment, Electricity projects for the catchment area and the community and the renovation and rebuilding of the buying centers.
Corporate Social Responsibility
The factory has planted more than 5,000 trees as part of their contribution towards forest conservation. All the 71-KTDA-managed factories in partnership with KTDA Foundation, have a vision of planting over 5Million trees in tea catchment areas.
